The Shepherd versus the Hireling (End of the Year reading)

1 Peter 2:9

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

John 10:28-29

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

This is a promise to those who rightly devide the Word of God (2 Timothy 2:15), proving themselves who are one of the elect, predetermined to be sheep of the flock before the foundation of the world having received the Holy spirit of Truth who guides them in discernment (John 3:34).

John 17:12

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Thy name those that Thou gave me have I kept and none of them are lost but that lost child that the scripture might be fulfilled.

John 10:12,13

But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

Sign of an hireling, is a scattered congregation. Now with the lockdowns only a few or no one can enter the building. The pastor does not stand up for the assembly of the saints(Hebrews 10:25) like he should and be jailed or fined for standing up, like Jesus would do. Jesus died standing up for his sheep:

John 18: 8,9

Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: That the saying (from Isaiah 8:18) might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

Psalm 65:8-13

They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

Thou crowned this year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.

The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

In the movie Black Rider: Revelation Road(2014), there is a person called the Shepherd who is one of the 2 witnesses during the collapse of America at the advent of the Beast kingdom. The Shepherd does not leave his flock unattended but stands up to be taken away to go to Jerusalem while the congregation leaves safely together through the backdoor. God is going to do many works through those who are starting to live on faith like the first christians.

John 14:18

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
